Who are we?
yurtscape is an immersive brand collaboration between Cotopaxi and headspace. headspace is on a mission to revolutionize mental health for humanity and they make it easy for you to love your mind. Cotopaxi creates responsibly made outdoor gear that brings performance, color, and joy to all, and helps to build a movement to support communities around the world. yurtscape marries these core values together.
Why does it matter?
It matters because we believe that mindfulness and nature go hand in hand, and that it should be available to everyone, no matter where they are located.
Branding
Overview
yurtscape is a brand collaboration between Cotopaxi and Headspace. We wanted to highlight how beneficial the balance of mindfulness and nature is to mental health, so to do that we decided to bring an immersive meditative experience to busy downtown cities with yurts. These yurts come equipped with 360 projection and soundscapes. Users have the option to take a quick quiz or choose their audio and visuals themselves via a tablet at the entrance of the yurt. Once selected, they can go inside to experience a brief, meditative experience. Afterwards, they can buy custom merch that is a blend of Cotopaxi’s signature color blocking using Headspace’s signature vibrant colors.
Voice
yurtscape speaks with a calming yet adventurous voice in order to highlight the overlap that mindfulness and the outdoors have. yurtscape’s voice is a blend between Cotopaxi and Headspace and that blend is present through all aspects of this collaboration. We have designed this experience to allow users to get personalized mindfulness while experiencing nature in the midst of a big city.
